Dfs took 4 months to deliver one single left hand facing sofa. I wanted a sofa with the arm rest on the left hand but it came 4 months later and the arm rest is on the right hand not left. The description is confusing. One of the first colleagues I spoke to on the phone from dfs was also confused by the description and said she will get someone else to call me. I have received 2 calls after that from 2 different people asking the same thing and now the third call is from a manager, Richard, who has contacted me to tell me I won’t be getting the £100 I paid for delivery back and on top of that, I will be charged 20% of the total product price for them to take it back. He was not understanding at all of the situation and kept arguing back saying it is not their fault and it’s as per the description, a very confusing description in fact. So I agreed to pay the 20% if I get the £100 I paid for delivery back as it was delivered way later than promised. Richard refused and said he can give me a HAMPER for the delay!!!! I asked him what the purpose of his phone was if he cannot help me or provide me other options. He kept saying he wants to help but provided no other options. He in fact resulted in practically threatening me that if I take too long to agree with him to pay the 20% then they will not be taking it back at all. I don’t understand how you can have this attitude or speak to someone like that after you have taken 4 months to deliver a single arm sofa which was meant to take 5-8 weeks.
A store with decent furniture at decent prices. Good staff with informed knowledges. Polite and helpful. Nice store.
Went into the sure and a guy saw us browsing, but wasn’t keen on helping. He asked and didn’t wait around. Then a lady came and talked us through what is available. I explained the circumstances and she was I thought helpful at the time. She told me as we are purchasing the display one, we would get in quick as three days. Then when we finalised she went on about something in Stratford she needed to check. I assumed she was checking stock, as to replace the display item once we purchase it. As we gave her the green light for purchase things went wrong. She started to say that it’s not 3 days but they have to keep the sofa on display until 17 August, then they can arrange delivery. I was shocked, in that time anything could happen to the sofa, she made it clear that if it did, so be it, we paid and we cannot return. Then she starts going on about a sofa from stratford. When I asked why we are getting something elsewhere, when we have picked this one, she went on about how this one was already purchased by someone else. I don’t think she knew what she was doing to be honest. Her story kept changing and she wanted a fast sale. When I advised her I would have to go Stratford to check the sofa out, she kept pressuring to believe her that it’s in pristine condition. But my point is, it won’t be by 17 August. She kept pushing me to make a deposit and i declined. As we started leaving she advised me not to discuss with another member, instead she would call me and take a deposit on the phone. I know things are hard and you have to make a sale, but this went bad to worse. Glad I found another form of service and got someone who actually wanted to help
Was disappointed, as place is nice and big and lots of choices but staff doesn't match.
One male staff ,didn't have any patience and didn't want even to explain more in details,pass me on to another staff, he rush to go ,though shop was empty.
However found another staff who was more professional and explain in details,but we disagree as found a painting that I was interested and he knew straight away that the price didn't match with the price they have in the computer so I wasn't happy about that.
Told him ,it takes 5min.to change a label and were more the 4 staff doing nothing ,one could have changed the price .
Have explained that in law ,that is misleading so should I buy the products ,I would have expected to pay the price that was on the label.
Staff are not paid bonus for every sale they makes,neither have any targets so for them it really don't matter if they make a sale or not, they will still their wages paid,this what I was told .
Then asked how will I hung the painting ,again he didn't know ,until another femele staff come and explained.
Shop is empty,no customers ,can you not at least learn more about the products you are selling? and the manager ensure all prices matches with your computer price.
Overall disappointed.
Went next door and made a sale,so they've lost a good customer simply because they couldn't bother .
Plus I was told by your staff that you don't sell Rugs-couldnt be more wrong, you do sell Rugs .
Avoid Mica (so called manager) who has zero customer service skills. If I could leave no stars I certainly would. Atrocious experience at this store. A Mickey Mouse outfit. You will not have a hope in hell of getting them to deal with faulty goods once they have your money, and will be told "too bad, it's within our "standard". Buyer beware, avoid at all costs!
Do not purchase the insurance with Guardsman!
Made 2 claims in August and was given an 8 - 12 weeks time frame for delivery of new pillow backs and materials for the cuddler.
16 weeks on no pillow backs have been sent and the material for the cuddler was sent but it was the incorrect cut.
I've now been told hopefully it will all arrive by January.
Completely unacceptable.
I would like guests in my house gorgeous Christmas but the sofa looks awful.
The pup had a mad week, unexpectedly.
I have to say I am very disappointed with DFS Enfield branch.. I ordered my sofa on 11/12/23 when DFS were doing the express delivery, get it before Christmas offer. I was promised by the salesman and the branch manager that I would receive the sofa on or before 21/12/2023. This didn't happen. There was no direct number to the Enfield branch which showed me how little they care for customer service. I got through to head office who promised I would get a call back from Enfield branch, this never happened. The only honest ones were the delivery company who DFS uses, they phoned and told me my delivery had been delayed and would arrive after Christmas or in the New Year. Misleading customers and lack of transparency is the worst thing a company can do in my opinion. Extremely disappointed in what I thought was a reputable company.
I paid £1400 for a sofa bed. They damaged the sofa during the delivery. The frame or main structure was broken. The delivery guys said that we will be contacted in 72 hours. But nobody called. I sent many emails to them. They always promised something but never kept their word. They said they will come or call back but did not show up. I had to chase them all the time.
Finally, service came to fix it. But all they did was screw a piece of wood to the broken frame. Now, the sofa is squeaking. But according to them, the sofa is stronger than before because they used a very strong piece of wood. They refuse to refund. All they offer is a £ 100 Amazon gift card. They said that the sofa has 15 years of warranty and if something happens they would fix it. Come on, it took more than 6 months to come to this point, where we could not find a solution, for a brand-new sofa. I cannot imagine how they will behave a couple of years later.
As a summary, customer service is awful.
When it comes to the sofa, it has been 6 months but all cushions are already turned into a mushy sponge. It is squeaking. I also saw how tiny the main structure was. Expensive but very low-quality product with bad customer service. I do not recommend anybody.
